He is now interned in Kropywnytskyji - Collective Cemetery, Ukraine.
The German War Graves Commission began transferring the first German war dead to Kirovograd in 1994.
By 2010, over 17,000 German war dead from hundreds of graves in Central and Southern Ukraine had
been laid to rest here. More will follow and once the work is completed almost 30,000 German dead will
be buried in their final resting place.
